I run an exterior net server from a machine working Rocky Linux on my community.
On my Mac on the lan, once I strive to hook up with the net server utilizing its area title, I get a Server Not Discovered error. I do know that it’s accessible from exterior the community, so the issue is native.
After a variety of of looking, I discovered that working:
sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
the issue is solved. After I ping the area from the terminal, it resolves to
192.168.1.1 which is appropriate.
That is OK, now, however a while later (a number of hours?) it can occur once more.
The query is what would trigger the Mac to fail resolving the area?
